This month's speaker is: Terry Carter of Race to Relate
Topic: Responding to Crisis
Dr. Terry Carter is a tenured Professor of English. He completed his doctoral work in English with an emphasis in Composition and Rhetoric at The University of South Carolina (USC) in 2002; his dissertation is entitled Textual and Personal Representations of African Americans in Composition and Rhetoric. In fall 2002, he begin teaching at Southern Polytechnic State University (now known as the Kennesaw State University’s Marietta Campus). At Kennesaw State University (Marietta Campus), he has taught first-year composition, American and African American literature, ethics, technical writing, and writer’s workshop courses; he also teaches online courses and has taught online courses through The University of Georgia’s collaborative programs. He has served as a writing center director for the KSU Marietta Campus and as a departmental online coordinator. His research and publication interests are in the areas of online pedagogy, digital scholarship, and African American studies.
