The October 13 Roundtable topic will be Public Speaking as a Marketing Tool: Creating a Viable Topic for Presentation, Joining Forces with a Presentation Partner and Selecting an Audience. Jonda Beatty will co-lead.
This month's speaker is Doris C. Vaughans, Ph.D, LPC, NCC
Topic: "Color the Move Yellow: Lighten the Losses of Moving"
Dr. Doris C. Vaughans is a licensed professional counselor in Alabama and Georgia. She owns a private professional counseling practice, Tuscaloosa Center for Cognitive Therapy and is a faculty member at Portland Institute of Loss and Transition and at the University of Alabama. Dr. Vaughans has received many professional awards. Prior to changing careers to counseling, she worked as a Registered Nurse for more than 20 years providing palliative and end of life care. Dr. Vaughans is the mother of three children, Tiffany, CJ, and Lea; and the grandmother of seven grandchildren. She is a member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. Her hobbies include reading, walking, watching football, and spending time with family and friends.
